Voters can take part only by accessing the online voting homepage at http://awards.payloadasia.com/en/voteentries.asp
Voters will find the top three companies for each award. Voters can register their vote by electronically ticking the box beside the company name they wish to vote for.
Voters cannot vote by any other method. Once verified, the final results will be announced at the awards ceremony and will be published in multiple media channels both print and online.
The online voting period starts from 25th June and ends on 30th July 2012.
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify entries or suspend voting if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting. Description of the AirAsia Cargo service/product

The AirAsia Cargo service - It's a product that serves both the primary and secondary markets predominantly in ASEAN, Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan and India. We are the first major low cost carrier to be actively engaged in the cargo service and also a first major LCC that utilizes a narrow-wide body combination. Typically, low cost carriers shy away from cargo due the short turn-around times, but we in AirAsia not only have made it work, we have made it work successfully and now the business is ingrained as part of our service offering. It's contributing a sizeable amount to our total revenue. The service provides affordable prices, generally cheaper than legacy carriers, i.e. it ranges between 20%-30% compared to the published prices. Our pricing structure are not one-off's to gain market share as we reckon we are sustainable. We simply have a low cost structure coupled with unrivalled frequencies, especially in the ASEAN region. With a 22 minutes turnaround time, we are loading anywhere between 2.5-3.0 tonnes of cargo on the narrow body (bulk loading) and on the wide body (using ULD's) within a 60 minutes turnaround time we load anywhere between 14-16 tonnes. We also have strategic SPA's for connectivity beyond our network with South African Airways and Emirates, Qatar, Ethihad, Gulf Air, etc.

The qualities and attributes that sets our product/service/innovation apart from competition

We have managed to negate and overcome the hurdle of short turnaround times by harmonizing the passenger and cargo operations. It took our team 3 years to get where we are today in terms of cargo loading efficiency. With a 22 minutes turnaround time and with us loading 2.5-3 tonnes of cargo, we only contribute a marginal 0.08% delay to the fleets on time performance (OTP) in 2011. We also recorded 93% flown as booked (FAB) for 201, which is higher than industry average at 89.5%. We are also the first major low cost carrier to have a web-based booking system for cargo which is built in house and not purchased off the shelf. The open-based system also allows tracing of air waybills on cell phones, smart phones and I-pads with internet connectivity. It's a single page booking system as opposed to others in the market that requires multiple pages. The number of clicks required is 06 compared existing systems in the market which is 11-12 clicks.

We price our product with a single tiered pricing strategy, we as an airline do not impose fuel or security surcharges. We are off the view that having a fuel and security surcharges added to the core pricing structure of cargo is just confusing to the market and shippers. Most of the time these surcharges are dynamic in nature and shippers need to constantly have their finger on the pulse in terms of airline cargo pricing which could potentially be an administrative burden. We have a personnel of 25 managing a total of approximately 120,000 flights per annum, a ratio of 4,800 flights per personnel.

2011 was an extremely successful year for Delta Cargo. The business generated $1,044M in revenue, representing a 21% year over year growth and marking the first time the carrier broke the $1B revenue mark. Compared with its A4A industry peers, Delta's performance was also impressive. In 2011, Delta maintained a 17-point premium to the industry in year over year revenue growth, exceeded industry cargo ton miles (CTMs) growth by 14 percentage points, and maintained a one point premium over industry peers in CTM yield.

Delta's global network was a key component of its 2011 performance. As one of the world's largest airlines, Delta provides cargo customers with a global network that spans 62 countries on six continents. Delta is also part of the industry's leading trans-Atlantic joint venture with Air France-KLM and Alitalia and is a founding member of the SkyTeam Cargo global alliance, the world's leading cargo alliance.

In addition to strong financial performance, Delta has remained dedicated to constantly improving the service we offer to our customers through investments in technology and infrastructure. In an effort to simplify the shipment lifecycle, Delta has been an industry leader in the IATA e-Freight adoption initiative, with nearly 20% of domestic shipments already in compliance. By investing in electronic booking channels and allowing for electronic airway bills, Delta is offering our customers better data reliability and accuracy, faster service, and lower shipping costs. In September 2011, Delta also became the first carrier to offer an FAA-approved GPS tracking device on our global fleet. The Sentry 400 FlightSafe device developed by OnAsset Intelligence is approved for use on both Delta Mainline and Connection flights and provides customers with detailed location tracking information on deltacargo.com as well as other important flight characteristics such as temperature, light exposure and humidity. Not only does this provide customers with increased visibility to their shipment location, but also allows customers who are shipping sensitive materials, such as pharmaceutical products, to monitor environmental characteristics that could affect the integrity of their product. Delta Cargo also made critical investments in our operational infrastructure in 2011, such as enhancements to our Atlanta Cargo warehouse and increasing planeside scanning by more than 20% year over year.

Leveraging these customer service investments, Delta also expanded its specialty product offerings in 2011. Variation Wheels, launched in September, offers customers an expedited option for vehicle transportation. The service combines the expert care and ground handling of vehicle shipping services with the speed, reliability, and global reach of Delta Cargo. Since the product's launch, Delta has successfully transported a number of vehicles between Europe and the United States and volume continues to grow. Delta was also heavily focused on our mail business in 2011 and was able to achieve over 50% year over year growth in mail revenue in 2011, and the volume continues to expand. In 2011 alone, Delta added 20 additional stations that can accept mail, and also expanded the service internationally. Delta's Chief Cargo Officer, Neel Shah predicts that by 2014, the United States Postal Service will be Delta's largest customer.

Despite a difficult 2011 - marked by overcapacity, declining cargo volumes and pressure on rates in the major markets – Saudi Airlines Cargo Company (Saudi Cargo) continued to pursue its ambitious growth plans, increasing its fleet by 40% and expanding its stations in Africa and Asia. In 2011, the airline increased its frequencies to Africa and Asia, with five weekly flights to Nairobi, daily flights to Lagos (becoming the global market leader to Nigeria), six weekly flights to Hong Kong and the introduction of new freighter services to N’Djamena, Mumbai and Chennai. Furthermore, it created a strong position in the UAE market with five weekly freighters from Sharjah and saw a 50% growth in the European market. Consequently, the airline recorded an average growth of 30% in its scheduled cargo services in the second half of 2011.

Saudi Cargo successfully re-established itself in the global charter market, which grew by 62%, and increased its activity with global forwarders (such as DHL and ARAMCO) by 56%. It implemented a new commercial organization structure and appointed General Sales Agents (GSAs) in key markets, while improving service levels to clients by establishing a Global Customer Information Center (CIC).

In order to provide its employees with the best possible foundations to assist them in performing their daily duties, Saudi Cargo continues to place great emphasis on the training and motivation of staff. To this end, 161 management and technical training programs were completed and 1618 trainees trained in 2011, both within and outside of the Kingdom.

Saudi Cargo continues to invest heavily in flight and ground equipment and station infrastructure, as well as in the development of resources aimed at increasing productivity rates among workers. Last year it succeeded in strengthening its mainline stations in KSA by investing a total of 38 million riyals in facilities and equipment which was reflected in the improvement of the fleet’s on-time performance (which increased to 92%) and shipped as booked (which increased to 90%). At the end of 2011, Saudi Cargo achieved a major milestone with the implementation of the Cargospot reservation and operation system, providing end to end control over capacity, sales, operations and accounting processes.

In 2011, Saudia Cargo created a new product to meet the needs of its cost-conscious customers. ‘BellyFlex’ is a low-end belly product with longer transit times at hubs for attractive rates. Based on the belly capacity of the aircraft, the product is ideally suited for the shipment of normal-sized cargo. Utilizing the extensive Saudi Arabian Airlines (SV) passenger network, 'BellyFlex' delivers less urgent shipments to major international destinations within a transit time of 4-8 days from origin to destination. By opening up the massive SV belly network, Saudia Cargo has been able to respond to growing customer demand for cost-effective solutions for shipping non-urgent cargo.
